Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026

This policy describes how PokémonGPT ("the service"), operated by Jiaqing Zhang, handles information when you use the PokémonGPT plugin, its MCP server or its API.

Information we receive

Search parameters. When your AI assistant uses the service, it sends the search parameters it chose for your request, such as a card name, set, card number, rarity, language or price range. The service does not receive your name, email address, account details or the rest of your conversation.

Technical request data. Like any web server, the service's hosting provider records standard request logs: IP address, user agent, time of the request, requested URL and response status.

The service has no user accounts, does not use cookies, and does not track, profile or advertise to users.

How it is used

Search parameters are used only to run the search and return results. Request logs are used to operate the service: keeping it running, fixing errors, and preventing abuse. Search parameters are not stored in the service's database.

Who processes it

The service runs on Google Cloud (App Engine) and uses MongoDB Atlas as its database. These providers process request data on the service's behalf under their own terms. Information is not sold or shared with anyone else, except when required by law.

Retention

Request logs are kept by Google Cloud Logging for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically. Search parameters are not retained beyond those logs and short-lived operational logs kept by the database provider.

Your choices

You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the plugin or disconnecting the MCP server. Because the service has no accounts, it cannot link log entries to you. To ask a question about this policy, or to request deletion of log data associated with your IP address, open an issue at https://github.com/danielqingz/pokemongpt-mcp/issues (do not include personal information in the issue; you will be contacted for details).

Children

The service is suitable for general audiences but is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your AI assistant

Your conversations are handled by the AI assistant you use (for example ChatGPT) under that provider's own privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
